Prishtina, Tirana and Skopje all share a climate feature that server room operators should love: several months a year when outdoor air is cold enough to cool IT equipment with almost no compressor energy.
How free cooling works
Free-cooling systems use outdoor air — directly or through a heat exchanger — whenever the outside temperature drops below your target supply temperature. The compressors, which consume most of the energy, stay off.
What the numbers look like
In Prishtina's climate, free cooling can run fully or partially for roughly 50–65% of annual hours. Across our installed base, customers typically see cooling energy reductions of 30–40% compared with conventional systems.
When it pays off
The additional investment usually pays back within two to four years for rooms above 10 kW of IT load. For smaller rooms, inverter-driven precision units are often the better economic choice.
Get the data first
Every building is different. A short monitoring period of your existing energy consumption gives an accurate payback calculation before you commit to anything.
